The Mona Shores boys basketball team broke into the victory column on Friday night with an easy 70-30 victory over Fruitport in an O-K Black Conference matchup.

Mona Shores is now 1-5 overall on the season and 1-3 in the conference. Fruitport dropped to 0-7 and 0-3.

The Sailors led 31-14 at halftime and kept pouring it on in the second half.

Three Sailors finished in double figures with KP Piggue leading the way with 17 points. Da’Quaruis Cooper and Jalen Johnson each had 10 points for Mona Shores.
