A strong second half led the Whitehall girls basketball team to a 39-26 victory over Mason County Central in a West Michigan Conference game on Thursday night.

The Vikings trailed 6-4 after the first quarter and 17-10 at halftime.

Whitehall went on a 10-2 third quarter run to take a 20-19 lead after the third quarter, then closed out the game outscoring the Spartans by a 19-7 margin during the fourth.

Katelyn Goodrich paced the Vikings with 11 points while Sierra Spann added nine points and 11 rebounds. Bailee Spicklemire chipped in with eight points for Whitehall and Kacy Jeffries contributed with seven points.
