The North Muskegon boys basketball squad’s strong defensive fourth quarter led to a 50-33 win over Ravenna in a West Michigan Conference contest on Tuesday night.

The Norse (9-5, 7-3) outscored Ravenna by a 15-1 margin during the final stanza.

Riley Fairfield paced North Muskegon with 15 points, while the Bulldogs were led by Josh Cox with 13 points.

FREMONT 73, CENTRAL MONTCALM 40 – The Packers (10-4, 7-2) jumped out to a 17-5 lead after the first quarter and led 41-14 at the half. Ryan Geeting led Fremont with 14 points, while Logan Karnemaat added 10.

MONTAGUE 69, ORCHARD VIEW 44 – Josh Weesies and Merritt Hamaan each posted double-doubles for the Wildcats in their win against OV. Weesies scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Hamaan had 11 points and 12 boards. The Wildcats are now 11-2 on the season, including 9-1 in conference play.

GRANT 53, MORLEY STANWOOD 29 – The Tigers handed Morley Stanwood its second loss of the season. Grant (9-4, 7-2) led 19-10 after one, 30-15 at the half and 40-23 after three quarters. Spencer Naffziger scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to pace the Tigers. Carter Chase added 11 points and had six assists.

GRAND RAPIDS COVENANT CHRISTIAN 69, WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 35 – The Warriors dropped a non-conference match-up with Covenant Christian on Tuesday. WMC is now 4-11 on the season. Nolan Fairfield led the Warriors with 10 points while Dan Ray scored seven.
