The Western Michigan Christian boys basketball squad blanked Grand River Prep during the final stanza to propel to a 41-36 comeback win in a non-league game on Tuesday night.

The Warriors, who trailed 34-28 heading into the fourth quarter, outscored Grand River Prep by a 13-0 margin during the fourth.

Daniel Ray led WMC, which improved its record to 6-12 on the season, with 13 points while Nolan Fairfield added eight.

GRANT 49 FREMONT 43 – Grant put the pressure on the Packers early and often, resulting in a 24-21 lead at halftime. Fremont was unable to handle the suffocating Tiger defense that forced 20 turnovers in the game. The Packers (12-6, 9-4) were led by Riley Krim with 14 points.

KENT CITY 59 BLACK RIVER 45 – The Eagles got off to a slow start trailing 18-14 through one quarter but rebounded to take an eight-point lead before the break. Kent City led by as many as 23 points during the fourth quarter. Fraser Wilson paced the Eagles with 16 points. Kent City improved to 12-5 overall on the season.
