Jenny Beckman’s 31-point performance led the Shelby girls basketball team to a 76-45 victory over Hesperia on Monday night in a non-league game.

Beckman also had five steals on the night to go along with her offensive explosion while Tori Mussell chipped in with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for the Tigers.

Shelby jumped out to a 29-8 lead after the first quarter, led 50-26 at halftime and had a 68-34 advantage heading into the final stanza.

The Panthers (2-16, 0-9) were paced by Ami Tateyama with 15 points and five assists while Allison Bayle added 14 points.
