Muskegon Catholic’s Isabelle Bertolone hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer on Friday, forcing overtime between the Crusaders and Muskegon Heights.

But Muskegon Heights outscored the Crusaders in the extra session to squeak out a 52-51 victory in Lakes 8 girls basketball action.

The Tigers improved to 7-7 overall on the season and 2-1 in conference play.

Jakayla Anderson led Muskegon Heights with 24 points and 12 rebounds while Rhayshanique Anderson added 13 points.

Muskegon Catholic was led by Bertolone with 12 points and Talia Tyler with 10.

LUDINGTON 58, ORCHARD VIEW 21 – The Orioles improved to 6-0 in Lakes 8 Conference play with the easy victory. Ludington was led by Jenna Keson with 14 points and Ali Plamondon with 12.

MANISTEE 46, WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 35 – Aubrey Goorman led the Warriors with 18 points and eight rebounds while Cassie Kingma grabbed seven rebounds. WMC trailed 7-4 after the first quarter, 15-13 at halftime and 32-23 after three quarters.
