Muskegon Community College’s men’s basketball team had four players score in double figures in the Jayhawks’ 87-83 victory over Ancilla College on Wednesday.

The victory is the sixth in a row for the No. 21-ranked Jayhawks, who improve to 14-4 overall and 8-1 in conference play.

Sophomore Kyle Ervin Jr. poured in 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Jayhawks, while fellow sophomore Ricarri Stimage added 18 points and a game-high nine assists.

The duo combined for 27 points in the first half — including six of the Jayhawks’ eight first-half three-pointers.

The lead changed seven times in the half, but MCC was able to get a two-point lead at 43-41 at the break.

MCC was able make a run and build its biggest lead of the game at 62-51 with 11:29 to go, but Ancilla answered with an 11-0 run and the game came down to the final minute.

After clutch buckets from Stimage, Ervin Jr, and Daryl Kirkland in consecutive possessions, the Jayhawks were able to keep the lead at four points and hold on for the victory.
