The Muskegon Community College women’s basketball squad pounded Grand Rapids Community College 59-32 on Friday evening in a league game.

The Jayhawks are now 14-4 on the season and 8-2 in league play, good for second place in the Western Conference.

Kalisa Williams paced MCC with 14 points and four rebounds, while Camaryia Williams added 12 points, nine steals, seven rebounds and seven assists. Bailey Freeland chipped in with 12 points and four rebounds for the Jayhawks, and Kelsey Hackbardt contributed with seven points and seven rebounds.

β€œI thought we were stellar tonight defensively and keeping them off the offensive glass,” said MCC Coach Amanda Parker. β€œTo hold a team like that to 10 points in the first half is a true testament to our team’s hard work and focus.”
