The Muskegon Big Reds had to work hard to earn Coach Keith Guy’s 300th career victory.
The undefeated Big Reds trailed Jenison 21-9 after one quarter on Friday, but bounced back to beat the Wildcats 71-59 in an O-K Black Conference contest.
Muskegon improved to 19-0 and finished its conference season with a perfect 12-0 record.
Muskegon outscored Jenison by a 24-11 margin in the second quarter to take a 33-32 halftime advantage.
The Big Reds pulled away by outscoring the Wildcats 38-27 in the second half.
Willie Shanks paced Muskegon with 20 points. Sam Cornett Jr. added 18 points and 10 rebounds while Anthony Bethea had 12 points and Jermayne Golidy added 10.
