The Shelby girls basketball team pulled away from Hart with a 65-41 win on Friday night to capture their second straight Class C district title.
The Pirates took an 11-9 lead after one quarter, but their lead was short lived.
The Tigers stormed back to grab a 24-17 halftime lead and led 43-32 after three before a huge 22-9 advantage during the fourth stanza gave Shelby a comfortable win.
Jenny Beckman powered the Tiger offense with 24 points and five assists.
Tori Mussell added 14 points and 12 rebounds for Shelby and Brooke James scored 10.
Yasmine Colon led Hart with 20 points while Tressa Swihart added 10.
Shelby will face Hemlock on Tuesday night in the Class C Regional semifinals at Beal City. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
