Spring Lake girls tennis team finishes second at Zeeland East indoor invite

Spring Lake’s girls tennis teams started its season with a second place finish at the Zeeland East Indoor Invitational on Saturday.

Mekenzie Regualos and Anna Kramer took the No. 1 doubles flight championship, going 3-0 on the day to lead the Lakers.

Erin Henderson went 1-2 at No. 1 singles for Spring Lake. Francie Bailey battled to an 0-3 record at No. 2 singles, while Carina Schumbert went 1-2 at No. 3 singles and Jensen Hussey finished 2-1 at No. 4 singles.

At No. 2 doubles, Annie Brechting and Taylor Hoffman finished 2-1 for Spring Lake. Sydney Prescott and Hannah Cabala were 2-1 at No. 3 doubles and Jo Ruter and Rachel Oostinde went 2-1 at No. 4 doubles.
