After trailing 4-1 early, the Fremont baseball team used a five-run third inning to jump-start its offense and claim a 14-5 win over Kent City on Tuesday in CSAA action.

Kyle Cox pitched 2 2/3 innings for Fremont, striking out three and allowing one earned run. Cox also had a hit, a run and two RBIs in two plate appearances.

Zane Stroven drove in three runs on four hits for the Packers and Tyler Zimmerman scored four runs on four hits.

Kent City (0-3) was led by Eli Carlson, who went 2-for-3, and Hunter Babbitt, who went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
