The West Michigan Whitecaps bounced back with a 7-3 win on Friday over Lake County, after losing 10-5 on Thursday, when their six-game winning streak was broken.
The West Michigan offense score three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to take control of the game.
Austin Athmann hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning for the Whitecaps. He finished with a team-leading three hits on the night.
Starting pitcher Anthony Castro picked up the win, allowing one run on two hits over 5 1/3 innings while striking out seven.
West Michigan will continue its road series at Lake County on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
