Grand Haven’s varsity softball team bounced back from a disappointing recent showing against Oakridge by trouncing Holland Christian on Tuesday, 13-1 and 11-1.

The Buccaneers tallied an impressive 18 hits in the opener, led by a four-hit, five-RBI performance from Jackie Crow. Haley Aldred added three hits and three RBIs, while five other players had two hits apiece.

Madison Shumaker got the pitching win, as she scattered six hits through five innings of work.

In Game 2, Aldred continued to swing a hot bat, as she went 4-for-4, while Ashlyn Hall had a hit and three RBIs.

Baby Hang allowed just two hits to the Maroons, while striking out three and walking one in the mercy-shortened five-inning game.
