The Hesperia baseball team swept Hart in a non-league doubleheader on Friday.

The Panthers blanked Hart 6-0 in the opening game, then cruised to an 8-1 victory in the nightcap.

Zach Young paced Hesperia in Game 1 with three hits, one run scored and a stolen base while Brendan McAree added two hits, two runs scored, three stolen bases and an RBI.

Bobby Castillo tossed the win for the Panthers, allowing four hits while striking out 10 batters in six innings pitched.

McAree led the Panthers in Game 2 with three hits, two runs scored and a stolen base while Hunter Dickinson chipped in with two hits, including a double, and an RBI.

The Panthers are now 19-15 on the season.
