The Holton baseball squad split a doubleheader on Tuesday against Morley Stanwood.
The Red Devils rode the hot arm of Brandon Epplett to a 6-2 Game 1 win over Morley before falling 9-2 in the nightcap.
Epplett tossed 6 2/3 innings in Game 1 for Holton, striking out 10 batters and giving up two runs.
In Game 2, Morley put up nine runs in the first inning.
Holton failed to close the gap though, leading to the series split.
Blake Fialek and Dalton Giddings powered the Red Devil’s offense on the day, each recording three hits.
Fialek had three RBIs and Giddings added two.
