Spring Lake’s varsity girls lacrosse program wasted little time establishing itself in the O-K Conference.

In its first season competing in Tier 2 in the conference — and just its second varsity season overall — Spring Lake captured a league title following its dominating 24-1 victory over Comstock Park on Wednesday.

The Lakers improve to 8-0 in conference action.

Spring Lake had balanced scoring against the Panthers with Kate Vinkemulder scoring five goals, Josie Brown firing in four, and Jillian Gable and Meg Ready scoring three apiece.

McKenzie Ely, Madison Kaurich, Grace Nass and Audrey Van Linn scored two goals apiece, while Macie Kosch tallied one goal.

The Lakers will also host Comstock Park during the first round of the state playoffs on Thursday, May 25.
