Holton and Kent City played to a split in a CSAA Silver softball doubleheader on Wednesday night.

Kent City took the first game 10-8 in nine innings, while Holton bounced back and grabbed a 5-1 win in Game 2.

In Game 1, Holton was leading 8-4 in the top of the seventh before Kent City’s Paige Mortenson hit a grand slam to tie the score. The Eagles scored two more in the ninth inning to steal the victory.

Emily Larabee had four hits for Holton, while Courtney Slater hit a home run.

Haylee Bryant was credited with the win in Game 2 for the Red Devils. Morgan Murat had three hits, including two doubles, to pace the Holton offense.

The Red Devils improved to 17-2 overall and 11-1 in league play.
