The Ludington softball dropped both of its games on Saturday in the Manistee tournament.

The Orioles (5-25) fell short against host Manistee 7-4 in the opening game, then lost Game 2 to Mason County Central by a 7-3 margin.

Ryan Makowicki suffered the loss on the mound, allowing eight hits in seven innings while striking out eight batters.

Ludington was paced offensively by Breanna Lange, Riley Rittenhouse and Carissa Bush with two hits apiece while Olivia VerStrat added one hit.

The Orioles were led in Game 2 by Lange, Mackenzie Howe and Makowicki with a hit each.

Megan Mulherin suffered the loss on the mound for Ludington, allowing five hits in 4 1/3 innings while striking out six batters.
