The North Muskegon girls soccer team shut out Shelby 8-0 on Tuesday in West Michigan Conference play.

The Norse had a 2-0 halftime lead, following goals by Sophie Mueller and Grace Berends. They pulled away in the second half with two goals by Kendal Hoppa, another from Mueller, and tallies by Gwenna Pitts and Ayla Pitts. One goal came when the Tigers accidently put the ball in their own net.

Hannah Landstrom had two assists for North Muskegon, which outshot Shelby 23-0.

North Muskegon is now 10-3 on the season and undefeated in conference play.
