North Muskegon girls soccer squad advances to WMC finals, blanks Montague, 8-0

Gwenna Pitts’ three-goal performance propelled North Muskegon over Montague 8-0 on Monday in the West Michigan Conference tournament semi-finals.

The Norse advance to the championship game and will face Whitehall in the finals on Wednesday.

Abby Grevel added two goals for North Muskegon while Reyna Johnson, Katie Roberson and Ayla Pitts chipped in with a goal.

Kendal Hoppa contributed with two assists for the Norse while Lucy Carpenter, Gwenna Pitts, Grace Berends and Grevel each had an assist.

The Norse led 6-0 at halftime.

North Muskegon’s goalkeeper Hannah Landstrom stopped two shots in a shutout effort in net.
