Oakridge baseball team gets two tough wins against Montague in league action

The Oakridge baseball team swept a tough doubleheader from Montague on Tuesday in West Michigan Conference action, 5-3 and 7-4.

Pitcher Koleman Wall picked up the victory for the Eagles in Game 1 while TJ Ruel got the save. Hunter Jennings scored two runs and drove in one while Morgan Meinders and Blake Masterman had RBIs.

Nick Stever had two doubles for Montague.

Oakridge scored four times in the first inning of Game 2 and held on to win.

Ruel got the win on the mound while Jaxon Fri pitched the save. Masterman and Jalen Huges each had two hits for Oakridge.

Stever was 2-for-3 for Montague in the nightcap.
