The Oakridge softball team won two big games against a good Grand Haven squad in a non-league doubleheader on Friday.

The Eagles downed Grand Haven 7-1 and 4-0.

Kayla Fessenden had the big bat in Game 1 with three hits and three RBIs. She was also the winning pitcher, scattering six hits and striking out three.

Brie Pastor added two doubles and knocked in two runs for Oakridge.

Alyssa Fessenden pitched the victory in Game 2, allowing four hits while striking out five. Sophia Wiard had two hits for the Eagles while Pastor, Allyssa Fessenden and Halle Jennings all knocked in runs.

The Oakridge defense was errorless through two games.

The Eagles improved to 23-1 on the season.
