The Orchard View baseball team picked up a Lakes 8 Conference doubleheader sweep on Friday, defeating Manistee 12-2 and 5-3.
Orchard View improved to 9-13 overall and 5-5 in conference play.
Luis Suarez picked up the win on the mound in Game 1 while also leading at the plate with three hits and two RBIs. Brett Shawl added a triple and a home run while picking up three RBIs. Kris Veen also had three RBIs for Orchard View.
In Game 2, Shawl had another four hits and two RBIs while Veen and Chase Keller each added two hits. Keller also pitched the win on the mound.
