Sean Casey’s pitching leads Grand Haven baseball team to a pre-district victory

The Grand Haven baseball team beat Holland 4-2 on Tuesday in a Division 1 pre-district game.

Sean Casey pitched a complete-game win for the Bucs, scattering eight hits while striking out five and walking only one.

Jake Hansen had two hits and two RBIs for Grand Haven while Brady Jonas also had two hits.

The Bucs now advance to Saturday’s district semifinals against Holland West Ottawa on their opponents’ home field.

The winner will advance to the 2:30 p.m. finals against the winner of the Reeths-Puffer-Mona Shores semifinal game.
