The Spring Lake softball team showed its muscle throughout the day in a doubleheader sweep over Comstock Park.

The Lakers blanked Comstock Park 8-0 in the opening game, then cruised 17-0 in the nightcap.

Spring Lake, which is 28-3 on the season and 17-0 in league play, slammed six home runs on the day.

In Game 1, Leah Vaughn pitched a gem for the Lakers, striking out 13 batters and allowing just three hits.

Addison Lindsey, Madelyn Nelson and Kileah Rymal each had two hits in the game. Lindsey and Rymal each blasted home runs.

In Game 2, four home runs powered the Lakers to a blowout win in just three innings.

Linsey Paggeot and Jenna Core each sent one over the fence, while Nelson hit two out of the ballpark.

Paggeot and Vaughn finished the game with two hits apiece, while Core contributed five RBIs.

Nelson got the win on the mound, allowing one hit through three innings.
