The Spring Lake softball team took a doubleheader from Whitehall in non-league action on Wednesday, 15-0 and 16-1.

Leah Vaughan picked up the win in the first game, striking out eight and allowing only one hit. Lauren Hellman and Molly Poole led the Laker offense with four hits apiece, while Vaughn added three hits.

Linsey Paggeot and Addison Lindsey chipped in two hits apiece for the Lakers.

Madelyn Nelson got the win in Game 2, pitching three innings and striking out three while allowing two hits. Lauren Somers pitched a scoreless 4th inning.

Paggeot and Nelson led the Laker hit attack with three hits each, while Hellman, Poole, Somers and Core each added two hits. Every Laker scored a run and had a hit in the game.

Spring Lake improved to 31-3 on the season. The Lakers will finish the regular season with a doubleheader at Grand Haven on Friday.
