The Spring Lake softball team defeated Comstock Park 18-0 on Tuesday to clinch the O-K Blue Conference championship.

The league title was the fifth in a row for the Lakers, who finished with an 18-0 conference mark. They won the Lakes 8 Conference championship four straight years before switching to the O-K Blue this season.

Tuesday’s victory was also the 60th consecutive conference win for Spring Lake.

Leah Vaughan was the winning pitcher, tossing a two-hitter in the four-inning rout.

Lauren Hellman, Madelyn Nelson and Anne Marie Galloway led Spring Lake with two hits apiece. Hellman and Nelson both had home runs while Rebecca Geno had a three-run double.

Spring Lake (29-3 overall) will play its final home game Wednesday in a non-league doubleheader with Whitehall.
