Six second-half goals launched the Whitehall girls soccer team to an 8-0 mercy win over Shelby in a West Michigan Conference game on Tuesday.

Whitehall’s goalkeeper Kerrigan Semans shut down the Shelby scoring attack, while her team’s offense did the rest to carry the Vikings to victory.

Hanna Evans and Ellie Stevens led the way for the Vikings with two goals each while Lauren Bausert, Brianna Pascavis, Hannah Sanford and Jessie McFarland all scored one goal apiece.

Bausert and Alex Flenner each finished with two assists for Whitehall.
