Fruitport cruises past Coopersville in girls soccer, advances to Div. 2 district finals

The Fruitport girls soccer team cruised past Coopersville 7-0 on Thursday in Division 2 district semifinal action.

The Trojans will face host Spring Lake on Saturday in the district final game.

Isabelle Raven and Emily Winicki paced Fruitport while two goals apiece while Jensyn Stanberry added a goal and two assists.

Fruitport’s Paige Stanley contributed with a goal and an assist, Ellie Fisher chipped in with two assists and Chloe Kern had a goal.

Madalyn Fett stopped four shots for the Trojans in net to earn a shutout victory.
