The Muskegon Clippers continued their road trip on Thursday night with an 8-4 victory over the Irish Hills Leprechauns

Bryce Kelley earned the win on the mound, tossing four innings while allowing two earned runs and striking out three. Brian Taggett picked up the save by pitching the final four innings.

The Clippers scored four runs in the fourth inning and one run in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings to take a 7-2 lead. Muskegon added one more run in ninth inning.

Kelley, Brian Sobieski,and Wyatt Featherston led the offense with three hits apiece.

The Clippers were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader, but the second game was postponed in the second inning with no score. It will be completed on Friday night as part of a doubleheader.

The Clippers are now 7-7 on the season and are tied for second place in the Great Lakes Collegiate Summer League’s Northern Division, three games behind first-place St. Clair.
