Several area teams and individuals competed in the Michigan High School Athletic Association boys golf state finals on Friday and Saturday at various locations throughout the state.

In Division 2, Spring Lake finished 12th in the team competition with a score of 671 at the Meadows Golf Course at Grand Valley State University. Nick Krueger led the Lakers with a score of 148, which tied him fifth in the individual competition. Krueger shot a 76 on Friday and a 72 on Saturday.

In Division 3, Shelby’s Keaton Inglis, who qualified for the state finals as an individual, finished ninth overall with a score of 156 at the Katke Golf Course on the Ferris State University campus. Inglis shot a 76 on Friday and an 80 on Saturday.

Muskegon Catholic finished seventh overall in the Division 4 team competition with a score of 678 at Forest Akers East at Michigan State University. Collin Powers led the Crusaders with a score of 151 which gave him a seventh-place finish in the individual competition. Powers shot a 73 on Friday and a 78 on Saturday.
