The Muskegon Risers ended their long season-opening road trip with a 3-0 victory over Oakland County FC on Saturday at Royal Oak High School.

The game was scoreless at halftime, but the Risers cut loose in the second half with three goals to steal the victory.

The first goal came when Risers captain Stuart Collins set himself up roughly 35 yards running toward goal, and smashed his shot into the upper left corner.

Brandon Dinsmore scored the second goal from inside the Oakland box.

Justice Sikkema, a North Muskegon High School grad playing his first game for the Risers, scored the final goal when he took a pass from Paris Martins and redirected the ball over the Oakland goalkeeper.

The Risers, now 2-2-1 on the season, will open their home schedule on Saturday with a 6 p.m. matchup against Grand Rapids Ole at Kehren Stadium at Muskegon Catholic Central High School.
