West Michigan Whitecaps left fielder Chad Sedio flirted with a cycle on Saturday in the West Michigan 10-3 victory over Wisconsin.

Sedio finished 4-for-5 on the night and with five RBIs while finishing only a triple shy of the cycle.

Whitecaps shortstop Danny Pinero added three hits on the night while first baseman Dylan Burdeaux added two hits to lead West Michigan.

Starting pitcher Gregory Soto picked up his ninth win of the season, improving to 9-1 on the year. Soto tossed five innings, surrendering one unearned run on five hits while striking out eight.

West Michigan is now 65-29 on the year and 20-7 in the second half. The Whitecaps are two games in front of Fort Wayne for first place in the Midwest League Eastern second half standings.

The Whitecaps will continue their series at Wisconsin on Sunday at 2:05 p.m.
