Fraser Wilson of Kent City took first place overall in the Muskegon Invitational cross country meet on Saturday with a time of 15:44.50.

Evan Hodson of Reeths Puffer was second (16:35.55), Nick Dennison of Mona Shores was third (16:52.38), Michael Hyatt of Orchard View was fourth (17:02.34), Brendan Deneen of Fruitport was sixth (17:07.91), Eli Rotman of Western Michigan Christian was eighth (17:18.38) and Kyle Messerschmidt of Oakridge was tenth (17:35.24).

Sparta won the team event with a score of 51. Kent City was second with 59, Fruitport was third (99), Reeths-Puffer was fourth (108), Western Michigan Christian was seventh (177), Mona Shores was eighth (187), Muskegon Catholic was 12th (326) and Muskegon was 13th (365).

Hart boys win White Division at Benzie Central Invitational

The Hart boys cross country team had a very successful start to their season, winning the White Division Race in the 17-team field at the Benzie Central Invitational on Saturday.

Scoring for Hart were Abram Enns, who took second individually (16:45); Andrew Whitney (sixth, 17:07); Hunter Tubbs (eighth, 17:12); Alex Enns (ninth, 17:13); William Schlaack (13th, 17:32). Michael Tubbs (20th, 17:55) and Zach Bitely (36th, 18:35).
