The North Muskegon boys soccer team opened up West Michigan Conference play with a shutout win over Shelby 4-0 on Tuesday night.

Dylan Hoffman led the Norsemen offensive charge with three goals and an assist.

Parker Kersman added one goal for North Muskegon while Henry Vanderwoude recorded an assist.

North Muskegon’s goalkeeper Nick Gertzweiler earned the shutout win, stopping seven shots.

The Norsemen are now 1-2-2 overall on the season and 1-0 in league play.
