The Reeths-Puffer soccer team posted a 2-0 record while Fruitport and Ludington each went 1-1 at the Lakeshore Invitational on Saturday.

R-P beat Ludington 4-2 behind two goals from David McHugh and one apiece from Parker Aerts and Ryan Bouchard. Jaxon Carpenter had 2 assists while Troy Beebe and Kyle McFall each had one.  Goalkeeper Jake Lofgren made four saves in goal for the Rockets.

Caleb Schoon and Ben Knoer scored for Ludington while Zach Peterson collected an assist.

The Rockets (2-0) beat Shelby 5-0 in their second game. Carpenter, Aerts, Beebe. Zac Brosco and Alex Visscher all scored in the contest.  Getting assists were Carpenter, Visscher, Aerts and David McHugh.  Lofgren only stopped one shot because R-P’s defense limited Shelby’s attack.

Ludington (2-1) went on to beat Fruitport 3-1. Knoer had two goals for the Orioles, Schoon had one and Will Flewelling had an assist. Goalkeeper Kyle Wendt had four saves on five shots.

Zach Shane scored for Fruitport, with an assist from Logan Fielding.

Fruitport beat Shelby 6-0, with five goals coming in the first half. Shane piled up an amazing five goals while Fielding scored once. Fielding, Cam Schultz and Cody Mayette had assists. Goalkeeper Connor Hines made six saves.
