The West Michigan Whitecaps were shutout on Wednesday night, losing 7-0 at Dayton.

Starting pitcher Tom de Blok gave up three home runs to the Dragons in the loss, dropping his record to 3-1 on the season.

Anthony Pereira led the West Michigan offense with two hits while Danny Woodrow, Cole Bauml, Danny Pinero, and Drew Longley all added one hit each.

West Michigan is now 81-37 overall and 36-15 in the second half, three and a half games ahead of Fort Wayne and Bowling Green for first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.

West Michigan will close out its series in Dayton at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
