The Whitehall volleyball team got off to a great start in West Michigan Conference play with a four-set victory over a good Shelby squad on Tuesday night.

The set scores were 25-15, 25-17, 15-25, 15 -10.

Abby Seeger paced the Vikings with 20 kills. Allysin Grams had nine kills and four blocks, Katelyn Goodrich had 44 assists and served two aces, and Gianna Megna totaled 28 digs.

The Vikings played strong team defense, with 81 total team digs.

Whitehall is now 10-3 overall on the season and 1-0 in league play.
