The Muskegon Big Reds clinched a playoff berth on Friday night after a convincing 70-0 win over Grand Rapids Union in O-K Black Conference play.

Muskegon led 28-0 after the first quarter and 51-0 at halftime.

La’darius Jefferson had a big night passing for the Big Reds, finishing 16-of-23 for 204 yards and five touchdowns.

Clinton Jefferson Jr. caught five passes for 91 yards including three touchdowns, while Marvin Harwell Jr. and Eli Jackson each had a touchdown catch.

Quenten Reynolds and Lonnie Clark Jr. each added rushing touchdowns for Muskegon.

The Big Reds improve to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play, and will play host to Kenowa Hills next Friday night.
