The Fremont soccer team defeated Newaygo 3-2 on Wednesday in a CSAA conference game.

Cole Miller started the scoring 12 minutes into the game when he found the back of the net to give Fremont a 1-0 lead.

However, Newaygo scored the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead before Bailey Baddis netted a penalty kick to tie the game 2-2 with four minutes remaining in the first half.

The lone second half goal came from Richard Carbajal when he gave Fremont a 3-2 lead five minutes into the second half.

Baddis and Carbajal each added assists on the night while Micah Whittle had four saves.

Fremont is now 5-3-2 overall and 4-2-2 in conference play.
