The Hesperia volleyball squad pulled off an upset on Wednesday, defeating Morley-Stanwood in a five-set match.

The Panthers won the match with service scores of 16-25, 25-12, 17-25, 25-22 and 15-12 to hand the Mohawks their first league loss of the season.

Delaney Hussey led the Panthers with 14 kills while Ally Bayle and Emily Bayle added eight each.

Hesperia was paced defensively by Emily Bayle with 16 digs and two blocks while Cara Frees chipped in with 16 assists.

The Panthers are now 11-14-1 on the season and 3-3 in CSAA Silver Division play.
