The Holton football squad were victims of a tough second half on Friday night in a 34-6 loss to Kent City in CSAA Silver play.

The Red Devils entered the second half only trailing 6-0, but were outscored by a 28-6 margin in the final two quarters.

Mitchell Erickson scored the lone touchdown for Holton, recovering a fumble for a 35-yard score.

The Red Devils, who are now 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in league play, were led by Derek Pouch, who ran for 83 yards on 14 carries. Aaron Herron added 48 yards on 13 carries.

Erickson led the Holton defense with 10 tackles, while Herron added nine and Pouch finished with seven stops.

The Red Devils will host Hesperia (0-3) next Friday.
