The Muskegon Community College volleyball team kept pace in their chase for a conference title with a straight-set victory on the road over Jackson College on Tuesday.

The Jayhawks won by scores of 25-12, 25-11, 27-25.

Julie Brown, a Whitehall High School graduate, paced MCC with 11 kills. Katie Veihl set up the offense with 26 assists and Sammi Hockstra served five aces.

Defensively, Hockstra had 22 digs, while Veihl, Raelyn Sells and Kaitlyn Gribowski each had three blocks.

MCC is now 8-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference standings, one game out of first place.
