Kent City volleyball wins tough first set, then rolls in straight sets over Holton

The Kent City volleyball team picked up its fourth win of the year with 3-0 CSAA Silver victory over Holton on Wednesday.

The set scores were 29-27, 25-14, 25-12.

Paula Roberts and Alyssa Hartzell paced the Eagles with eight kills and 13 assists, respectively. Janelle Krueger and Makenna Bonter each served two aces.

Defensively, Krueger had 24 digs and five blocks.

For Holton, Megan Baker had seven kills, Haylee Brant had 13 assists and Kaylie Piper had 14 digs.

Kent City is now 4-15-1 overall and 3-3 in conference play. Holton is 3-14-2 and 2-4.
