Mona Shores volleyball team reaches .500 mark with a win over the Big Reds

The Mona Shores volleyball team defeated Muskegon in O-K Black play in three sets on Tuesday, 25-8, 25-15, 25-10.

Anya Herrela led the Sailors with seven kills. Suriyah van der Oord had 16 assists, Jaizah Pyle served up five aces and Sasha Poland had 20 digs.

Brionne Crews led the Big Reds with four kills, Deyonna Thompson had eight assists and Tya Coon recorded 10 digs.

Mona Shores is now 11-11-3 on the season and 2-1 in O-K Black Conference play. Muskegon fell to 0-10 overall and 0-4 in the league.
