Behind the running of sophomore back Leroy Quinn, Oakridge rolled past Shelby, 62-6 in West Michigan Conference action Friday.

Quinn carried the ball 17 times for 195 yards and found the endzone five times on the night.

The Eagles defense was led by Mikael Wheeler with 12 tackles and Spencer Speers added nine.

Oakridge also forced two turnovers.

Shelby was led offensively by quarterback Christian Oberlin, who completed five passes for 112 yards, and Latrell Sobers, who had four catches for 150 yards.

Oberlin found Sobers for Shelby’s only scoring play, an 84-yard strike late in the fourth quarter.

Oakridge improves to 3-0 on the season, 2-0 in conference, while the Tigers fall to 0-3, 0-2.
