The Ravenna volleyball team posted a 2-1 record on Thursday night in a quad-match at North Muskegon.

The Bulldogs dropped a three-set match with Grand Rapids Covenant Christian, then bounced back with two-set wins over Kent City and North Muskegon.

Ravenna was led by Amber Jacobs with 30 kills and three blocks while Megan Crowley distributed the ball very well with 46 assists and also added eight aces and two blocks of her own.

The Bulldogs record improves to 13-9-1 on the season and 3-2 in conference play.

North Muskegon posted a 1-2 record, defeating Kent City then falling to Grand Rapids Covenant Christian and Ravenna.

Ellie Hayhurst paced the Norsemen with 17 kills, six aces and three blocks while Kasey Firestone came up big with 36 digs and also added 11 kills.

North Muskegon is now 15-17-1 overall on the season.
