Zack Shane sets two school records while pacing Fruitport to soccer victory

Zack Shane broke two school records on Tuesday night, leading Fruitport to a 4-2 victory over Grand Rapids Union in O-K Black conference play.

Shane, who recorded three goals and an assist, became the school’s all-time leading goal scorer as well as the all-time points leader.

Logan Fielding added a goal for the Trojans, while Eli VerMerris added an assist.

Goalkeeper Connor Hines tallied 12 saves.

Fruitport improves to 4-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
