The Grand Haven soccer team defeated West Ottawa 2-0 on Wednesday in a Division 2 district tournament semifinal game in Holland.

Grand Haven got on the board first on an unassisted goal by sophomore Jaden King with 16:14 left in the first half.

The second half was hard fought with both teams having numerous scoring chances. Conner Lund put the game away when he scored with about two minutes left to play.

Jake Thayer and Filierto Juarez combined for the shutout in goal for the Bucs.

Grand Haven now advances to the district finals against Hudsonville at noon on Saturday at West Ottawa.
